Drag fields into the table
With a populated fields list, you can now start dragging fields into the rows, columns and values sections of the table editor.
1. Search the fields list
Click the search button at the top of the fields list to quickly find the fields you want to use.

2. Add values
Drop value fields into the central region. If you graph the results, these categories will form the graph y-axis.

3. Add rows
Drop Categories fields into the side region to segment values into Rows. If you graph the results, these categories will form the graph x-axis.

4. Add columns

Drop category fields into the top region to segment the values into columns. If you graph the results, these categories will form the graph key.

5. Replace or remove fields in the table
Replace a value or category in the table editor by dragging a new field over it. Remove a value or category in the table editor by dragging it out the table. Add   filters to focus in on the most relevant data.

6. Adjust formatting and table options

7. Click outside the frame to leave edit mode.
Tip
If a pivot table has too many rows or columns to show within the pivot frame, use the shrink-to-fit option.

Invalid categories in a pivot

Currently pivot tables in Analyse do not support the following as pivot categories:
If a pivot category is created which includes these, a category named INVALID will be created, aggregating the data from rows with invalid categories.
Add nested categories to headers
Drag in a category below the current header category. The category on the top becomes the parent, the category on the bottom becomes the child. Add deeper nested categories by dragging in fields between header categories.
Add nested categories to rows
Drag in a category to the right of the current row category. The category on the left becomes the parent, the category on the right becomes the child. Add deeper nested categories by dragging in fields between row categories.
Show multiple value fields
Drag in a value field to the right of the current value field in the pivot table. If no header categories are configured, this creates a table with two columns of data. If header categories are configured, the two columns repeat for every header category. Add further value fields – there’s no limit.
Show multiple value fields as rows
Click the Transpose button to switch the value fields in the table from displaying as column headers to displaying as row headers.
